After last week’s post, I’ve reshifted my focus. Right now, my energy is going into leveling up my ad game. I have a video shoot coming up this Wednesday, and I’ve poured nearly every second of my day into preparing for it: writing scripts, mapping out each shot, shopping for props, styling. I’m putting my energy where it has the biggest potential to yield results.
I’ve also started stepping back for some big-picture planning, so I’m not always operating in survival mode. Once I have a clear vision for KAEIU’s future, hopefully I won’t sweat the small stuff as much.
Recently, I’ve connected with other women who’ve forged similar paths and found success. Their advice has been invaluable, but even more impactful was simply seeing what’s possible. I know many designers and makers who are in the same position as me. We bond over our challenges and I love being part of that community. But I’m also learning how important it is to build relationships with those a few steps ahead, the ones who expand your vision of what’s possible. Like the once “impossible” 4-minute mile: once one person broke it, others followed. Sometimes you just need proof that the impossible isn’t impossible.
With love,
Maria
